Visible Image Stamps~Butterfly INKognito Collage Vase

Hello :)

Hope your weekend is just wonderful and relaxing!

Today I have a small project to share with you for my Sunday Surprise with Visible Image!

This week I wanted to play with the beautiful Butterfly INKognito stamp for my Visible Image DT creation. This is such a wonderful stamp and really a joy to play with.

This post is picture rich! So sorry if it loads slowly...

Please click any photo so see it a bit bigger.

Here we go :)

This is the complete collage vase complete with a paper flower.

These are my basic ingredients. I used a clean empty hot sauce bottle that has such a fun shape! I have been known to buy a glass bottled product simply because of the amazing shape :) This one was easy however, I love the hot sauce!

I used some Tim Holtz tissue paper as well as some deli wrap paper I made. I used some dry wall tape to stencil the random small dots as well as bubble wrap. I used Americana Decoupage Napkin product to attach and seal. I like this formula, it made it very easy to layer on all the tissue and deli paper without tearing.

My Butterfly INKognito stamped so cleanly and wonderfully onto thin tissue paper on the first try! I was sooo happy :) I stamped it using Ranger Jet Black Archival ink. Truly a well crafted stamp and a joy to play with, thanks so much Helen and Mark!

A couple of views. I love stamping on tissue and deli wrap, it makes layering onto non-flat non-porous surfaces dreamy. Onto glass it really makes the translucent quality pop. These photos are slightly back lit from my window and door.

While the bottle was drying I went about making the flower.

I used a Sizzix Lotus flower die and cut a bunch of layers. I used more deli wrap to tie into the bottle itself with the blues and purples. I used some mostly white layers to make the flower "glow", too. Also some plain deli stamped with Visible Image stamps, Imagine, Dream Inspire and Ink Splats .

Up close! I love making paper flowers, so much fun as easy to customize for each project.

One more photo taken outside. To finish off the bottle I added a layer of DecoArt Media Ultra Matte Varnish and Americana Decoupage Crystal Glitter. The glitter is very fine and sorry I could not photograph it, but it has a perfect small sparkle. Sparkle and butterflies are a perfect match right?

Thanks so much for coming by today, hope you have a fantastic day and wonderful week!

What a genius idea using the tissue paper, such versatile stuff! That stamp is stunning and your use of it is perfect! Hugz. ~Niki
