Stencil Sunday with STAMPlorations~Create Tag

Welcome back kind friends!

I hope your day is fabulous! I have a tag I'd love to share today. See more inspiration from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Team HERE

It is still bright and sunny hot where I live so I am still inspired to play with flowers and butterflies. But to be honest, not much can stop me from using them, I soooo love them both!

I used various STAMPlorations stamps and stencil to create this art tag.

ARTplorations stencil Bloom Silhouettes
STAMPlorations stamps: Bold Sentiments Create and Imagine Blossom like a butterfly

The background I used various DecoArt acrylics on my homemade gelatin plate and the Bloom Silhouettes stencil. I stamped on top once it was dry using Stazon Black. Is it weird I like how that ink smells?

My butterfly was fussy cut and colored with Inktense color blocks, slowly learning how to use
them :) I had some tape fun, too.

Come play with us at this month's Mixed Media Challenge, Anything Goes except a card, use any stencil, too.

You can win a gift certificate for the STAMPLorations shop but you need enter to play HERE

Enjoy your day!

Visible Image Sunday~Baby It's Cold Outside Art Tag

Hello Happy Sunday!

The weather is finally feels chilly here, funny since about a week ago it was way above average and so hot!

So continuing with my wondeful Wintery tags for Visible Image, I have "Baby it's cold outside", today!

I sort of made my own Wintery set here, I used stamps from three different sets:
all 100% amazing Visible Image, "Baby It's Cold", "White Christmas" and "Rockin Around".

Click each photo to see a bit larger.

The background was created using various acrylic paints on my homemade gelatin plate.

The snowflakes and sentiment were stamped directly onto the tag using Wow Opaque Bright White powder. The "Rockin'" tree was embossed with Wow Metallic Silver Ultra High. The Ultra High makes such an amazing texture, love it! I used a Perfect Medium pen to scribble the icicles and embossed in the same Opaque Bright White.

To add more depth and "chill" I randomly added some UTEE clear all over the tag.

I am freezing now, yikes! Time for some hot chocolate, yum :)

Keep warm & cool where ever you may be!

Lost Coast Designs Mail Art Sunday

HI

Today I have a mail art piece I made for Lost Coast Designs. There is still time to play, hope to see you there soon! The theme is mail art and you can use any stamp on the project, much as we like to see ours, any will do! Check out the inspiration and rules HERE

I used a variety of stamps I was provided with on this project. Such a fun play!

This is the envelope before I folded it up. It is a template found at Mischief Circus by Crowabout StudioB.   Before I did any stamping, I created the background with various DecoArt paints on my homemade gelatin plate. I used a stencil by ARTplorations as well.

Thanks so much! Looking forward to seeing your projects, too!

Visible Image Sunday!~Sparkle at Christmas

Happy Sunday!

I have another fun tag to share today, made with awesome Visible Image stamps. Thanks for coming by to have a peek!

My absolute most favorite thing about Christmas are the sparkly lights! I love all the variety of lights and really wish I could keep them up all year. So when Visible Image introduced this awesome Christmas set, I was in love! The set is "Sparkle at Christmas". The star bursts are so fun to stamp with and will work all year long on many projects, so flexible!

I added lots of layers on top of the manila tag, including a painted book page and tissue.
The tree is cut from a page that did not work out as I had hoped, but loved the color and I never toss any papers, they always come in handy.

Shine on and have a fabulous day!

Visible Image Sunday~Dreaming of a White Christmas

Hi dear friends!

Thanks so much for coming by today. A small post gearing up for the Holidays!

I had a small play making another Christmas tag, using my White Christmas Visible Image stamp set.

I am really enjoying the vintage feel Holiday color scheme, the opposite of the bright colors I usually play with, hope you like it!

All images are stamped and heat embossed, I love embossing for shine and texture. The white is Wow Opaque Bright White, a fellow Visible Image teamie told me about this amazing powder. Love that it stays white on the dark background! Thanks Teresa :)

Have a wonderful day.
Hugs and well wishes,
~kim

Visible Image Sunday~Rockin' Christmas Gift Tag

Happy Sunday!

Wow we are a week into November! Have you started getting ready for the Holidays, shopping, wrapping gifts, yet? Just in case you are at the wrapping stage....today I wanted to share a quick gift tag.

I used the Visible Image stamp set, "Rockin' Around".

Take a piece of white cardstock or your favorite paper.  Fold the top down almost 1/3 of the way to make the flap. On the underside of the flap you can write your message or greeting.

I stamped and clear embossed the full trees on the inside first. Then I stamped and clear embossed the tree on the top flap. I  masked off the lower 'underneath tree' portion with the clear plastic sheet the stamps are covered with for storage, I did not want to get a ghostly image if I did not line it up perfectly.

I added color using Distress Inks in vintage tones. The spritzed with water mist. Once dry there were some areas I wanted to tone down so I used some Dylusions spray ink in white.

Hope you like this and I would love to see what you make!

Have a great day!

~kim

I made a small canvas to share today. I love bright colors, so happy and cheery! I used two stencils I was given as part of the design team, ARTplorations Flutterby and Clouds. These are perfect card sized stencils and work well on small canvas or tags, too.

I used Deco Art Crackle paste tinted with blue on the lovely butterflies.

I colored the background with my DecoArts paints, Derwent Inktense color blocks, a bit of washi tape and some splatters.

Thanks so much for coming by today, I hope you like this splash of color.

See you soon! HERE is the link to see the rest of the DT projects and the Challenge Link up.

Visible Image Sunday~Good Times~Mixed Media Canvas

Hi! Happy November!

Welcome back to Visible Image Sunday! Today I have my design team project, a mixed media canvas using some fabulous Visible Image stamps!

The canvas is small, about 5 inches by 7 inches.

It is primed with white DecoArt gesso. On top of the gesso, I did some random stamping using various Visible Image stamps. Over the base coat I added color using DecoArt paints and Derwent Inktense Color Blocks.

I used the "Good Times" sentiment from the "No Regrets" set.

I wanted to try something a bit different to get more texture, so I stamped the awesome Flower INKognito in Archival Ink onto fabric.

I stamped around the edge of the swatch with the 'splatter dots' portion of Flower INKognito. In the background you can see a few dots from the "Retro Dots Background" stamp also.

Thanks so much for visiting and make it a great day!!

~kim
