STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday~Wood Plaque

Happy Sunday!

Today I have a project to share here and you can also find it on the STAMPplorations blog, HERE

Hope you like it and have a wonderful Summer! or mild Winter if you are Down Under!

The substrate is a wood plaque I bought at Walmart. I love it, it is a really fun size to play with!

It is loaded up with wonderful ARTplorations Stencils and DecoArt Media.

For my last project with STAMPlorations I picked some of my favorite stencils to play with!
ARTplorations Stencils used:

I built up the layers beneath the flowers with lots of DecoArt Matte Medium, letting it dry each time.

Still a teeny bit of time left to play in our Mixed Media Challenge, too.

Thank you so much Shery for a wonderful creative year at STAMPlorations!

Have a great day!

Visible Image Sunday Play~Keep Going...

Happy Sunday!

Today is my turn to share a creative team make for Visible Image and their fabulous stamps!

For my small canvas today,  it's only 5 inches by 5 inches, I picked the recent, "Keep Going" sentiment. This fabulous block of text is an awesome size, perfect for cards, art journaling and any mixed media application. The words are big, which I love, so it makes it really easy to cut it apart and arrange it as you like!

Let's go!

My ingredients:
(lots of) DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics and Misters, Gesso, Liquid Glass, Metallic Luster
Stabilo All Pencil Black
WOW Opaque Bright White Powder
Metal Tape
Various Embossing Folders
Dollar Store MDF Box Picture

All the layers of color and shine are built upon embossed metal tape.

I like sharing multiple angles to show the color shifts and sparkle. The Sun likes to wash out my colors, so it is a bit of a challenge.

With these powerful, bold words I could not resist a Star Wars title crawl!
See what I mean? These words fill up the five inch space really perfectly and
trim well for your own layout.

Not sure about you but these words really help me find my way
when I am lost in much the same way song lyrics do.

Make it an amazing day!
hugs

STAMPlorations ARTplorations~Leftovers Tag

HI!

How are you today?

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it! Today I have a tag I made using some gelatin plate prints. It is my try at using up some prints since they do tend to stack up!

I have some step by step photos over on the ARTplorations Mixed Media blog if you want to see more :)

You still have some time to play along in our challenge. It's always Anything Goes except a card and use any stencil!

Can't wait to see what you make.

Have a fun day!

Andy Skinner's Time Mixed Media Challenge~Man Over Time

Hello!

Thanks for coming by today!

I have a small canvas I made for the Andy Skinner Time Challenge this month to share right now.

The substrate started life as a dollar store 5x5x1 inch MDF open box with a funky picture on it. I covered the surface with some DecoArt Media gesso and let dry. Next I used some Americana DecouPage Napkin medium to attach a skull pattern napkin.

Next I built up the layers with some DecoArt Media Misters which I really love since they dry permanent.

I used Andy's stencil "Made to Measure" for my well dressed man. Along the bottom and sides are other parts of the same stencil. I used DecoArt Media Black Modeling Paste. I stamped my man-body with a fabulous stamp by Rubber Dance Stamps onto an index card and used Vintage Photo Distress Ink on it and the sentiment.

I highlighted the dry paste stenciled parts and edges with some Rose Gold Metallic Lustre. Once dry it needed more texture so I added some DecoArt Media Crackle Glaze for some shiny bits and texture. I dripped, dabbed and spattered various colors over the surface and cracks.

Hope you like my Man Over Time canvas, it was lots of fun to just play!

Visible Image Sunday Play~Dragonfly Mini Canvas

Happy Sunday!

Today I have my Visible Image Sunday Play team project to share. I made a small 4 inch by 5 inch canvas using the beautiful Dragonfly "Live in the Moment" stamp set.

I used my DecoArt Media Misters and Tattered Angels Paint Glimmer Glaze on top of crackle paste for the color. They add some subtle shine and sparkle. I love how the paint seeps into the canvas to bring about more texture.

I heat embossed the dragonfly using Ranger Verdigris embossing powder. The flecks of gold really shine nicely in it!

Hope to see you play at the Visible Image Show & Tell Challenge this month!

Have a wonderful day!

STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday & New Mixed Media Challenge

Hi!

Welcome to a brand new day and brand new challenge at STAMPlorations! It is the Mixed Media Challenge, Anything Goes except a card, use any stencil. How fun is that? Love it!

Here we go, love to share my project with you!

I made a notebook paper envelope and decorated it up using DecoArt Fluid acrylics, gelatin plate and lots of STAMPlorations Stencils!

I used the STAMPlorations Artsy Border Maker and Trendy Butterflies for the stamped decorations.

STAMPlorations ARTplorations stencils applied in various layers:

I sealed the front and back of the notebook paper with Decoupage Paper Medium. I like it because it dries fast and is not tacky once dry. I stamped on top of it with Stazon inks.

Link up to our challenge HERE, please make sure no cards, use any stencil and include the graphic in your post. Can't wait to see what you make!

Have a wonderful day!
